This is what 4 nights of freezing temps will do to your trees! Pretty huh? I'm thinking the leaves on the River Birch will soon be falling off as most of them are black and crunchy. The leaves on the Japanese Maples just hang there like little wet rags...painful to see! I've been told that the trees will put out new leaves and I'm certainly hoping they will. Only time well tell.

Hi Linnie! So nice to meet you! Where in Illinois are you at? I am originally from the Quad-Cities if you've ever heard of that? Such a shame for your trees, hopefully Mother Nature will allow them to come back, I know it's going to be like that everywhere. My crepe myrtle was all budded out and now looks horrible and I think it killed my butterfly bush. Strange weather we are having for sure! I love your kitty kat pictures! huggs, Sandy :)
