Good mornin' all! For those of you who have asked, here's the camera I'm using. It's the Olympus SP-550 Ultra Zoom and I've had it for a little over two months. For the most part, I've only taken macros or had it on the automatic setting but I really gotta muster up the nerve to try out the manual side of it. I have no background in taking pictures so the manual settings are daunting, to say the least. Hubby wanted to buy a DSLR but I'm glad we didn't 'cause this little camera has enough stuff to keep me busy for a very long time! *lol*

That's a great camera, Linnie. We are the same, basically. I got my camera for Christmas and since then, I've carried it with me everywhere I go. But, like you, I'm new at photography and afraid of anything but the "auto" mode. I'm a point and shoot kind of gal.

Hi Linnie :) you will never believe in a million years that is the exact same camera I have had my eye on. Circuit City had it for around $350 about a month ago. Wow! I just viewed your "Olympus" photos and now I want one! I have been looking for a better camera, and the Olympus would sure do the trick for me. Great shots!
