and I swear the grass somehow managed to turn green overnight! Amazing how quickly that can happen. It's nice though, having a rainy day. Normally, gray days depress me but if there's rain falling, I kinda enjoy it...once in a while anyway.
Don't know what got into me this morning, but for some reason, I decided that the Sweet Autumn Clematis vine HAD to be trimmed back...now this is something that could've waited until the sun was shining but no, I had to take care of it today, in the pouring rain. Why? I have no idea. I just get like that sometimes. Common sense eludes me...seriously, it does. So out in the rain I went with my new pruners to tackle the monster vine. It took some time and yeah, I was soaked by the time I was finished, but I feel better knowing that at least one Spring chore has been completed. Next job is the Butterfly Bush but I'm gonna have to wait until the yard dries out. I was literally sinking into the ground while trimming the SAC!
So let's see, what else has been going on in my life? Well, my oldest came home with her graduation announcements and cap & gown last week. I think for the first time, it really HIT me that she's graduating...and in only TWO short months. Time passes too quickly. Before I know it, it'll be Little Bits turn...now THAT'S scary!!! *lol*
Well, I'm off to sweep and mop the floors. Oh yeah, before I forget...I picked up a Shark Steam Mop at Target over the weekend. I'm sure you've seen it in action on infomercials a zillion times over. I've been curious about the thing for months but wanted to wait to buy until a store like Target or Wal-Mart carried it. So when I saw it this weekend, I decided what the heck...I'll try it and if it bites, I'll just take it back. Easy enough. But I actually LIKE it...kinda shocked that I do! But it works great and I love the fact that I don't have to buy cleaners and Wet-Jet pads constantly. So in the long run, it'll definitely be a money saver. Always a 'good thing' as Martha would say!!!

Happy Wednesday Linnie;
No green grass here yet. In fact we are getting rain and a winter mix for today. I need Spring to show up here.
I'll have to try that steam mop. I too don't buy any infomercial products but it's nice to know one works. My Wet Jet is a disappointment to me.
Have a great rest of the week my friend. ~Hugs~
I don't think my grass is green yet. I can't see it under all that snow!
I can totally relate to wanting to do something when the mood strikes, otherwise it may never get done!
Hi Linnie!! The rain is finally gone and the sun is shining, I am so glad.
The mop sounds wonderful!! I am glad you like it!! yay!!
Have a nice day sweetie!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
Hi Linnie! Long time no see! I love your cute little Easter Scene in here. And thanks for the info on the Method and the Purex products, it always helps when someone has already tried and tested them. I appreciate it and i will try them myself. I had to laugh about you trimming the Clematis in the rain, sounds like you just wanted to try out your new clippers lol. my neighbor up north had the most beautiful clematis i ever saw in my life, it went all the way up to her roofline, and was just huge! she never trimmed or pruned it, plus a few times i saw her emptying a can of pepsi on it (must be the acid or something)
anyway i enjoy reading your journal, huggs, Sandy :)
I love the music today. I added you back to my blogroll. I did some spring cleaning and accidentally got rid of some that I meant to keep. You will need lots of hugs when your daughter graduates--so I'm giving them early. I can't believe you trimmed that clematis in the rain. Girl you are desperate for spring.
