Whew...that week flew by!

I'm actually pretty happy that last week is over. The toilet problems continued...so of course, the plumbers had to come back out. Good news though, they didn't charge for the second visit!

The best news out of last week...well, the ONLY good news (sad, but true), is that my big girl now knows where she'll go to college. She's been accepted at several places but we had to wait on this particular college to see what they'd offer her as far as an academic scholarship. She was offered the amount we were hoping for, so we're all thrilled. The University is only 6 miles from our house. Woot! When we visited the campus last October, I think she kinda 'knew' it was the place for her...but since it's private and pretty pricey, we just weren't sure if it was a possibility. I know that her ACT and her community involvement REALLY helped her out with this particular school.

We're in for a pretty nice week with highs around 50 degrees...not as warm as I would like, but heck, I'll take it! Found a beautiful flag at Lowe's last night and I just hung it on the flag pole and I'm getting ready to add a Spring wreath to the front door...pretty shades of purple and pink!

Ya'll have a super week!

Pretty! I think that is a great reminder that spring is right around the corner.

I could go for some 50 degree weather. It's a "balmy" 22 degrees here.

Oh Cinj...22 degrees, that bites!!! We didn't get up to 50 today. It seems pretty chilly out there but it is nice to see the sun. Just looked at our extended forcast and they're predicting rain for next weekend...figures, huh? *sigh*

Heck, I'll take 22 over some of the temps we've had this winter though. It was right around 40 today. I felt like breaking out the shorts!

Just remember, predictions don't always come true so there's always hope that you may get at least one nice day....

Congrats to your daughter on her university acceptance and scholarship! So close to home, too. I'm kind of in favor of going away to school for the experience,(both of my kids did-in fact DD is attending school in Illinois now) but it's not for everyone.

It has been absolutely beautiful here in Southern California...low 70s and sunny. I've been gardening every day. Hang in there...spring is on its way!

That flag is so you!!! The colors are perfect according to your blog pics. It matches. Congrats to your daughter too. You need to go ahead and get a prozac pill or two. I just about died when I took my kids to college. It was worse than that kindergarten moment. But then you get over it and the laundry starts coming home on weekends.
