THIS planted itself in our yard Friday afternoon at exactly 3:04 pm. Nice, huh? No one was hurt, thank God. If it had happened even a few minutes later, school would have let out and a steady stream of kiddos would have been walking in front if my house. I spent the entire weekend dwelling on all the 'what if' scenarios. I guess as a mom, you can't help but to do that.
The car you see in the pic is Kristen's...or 'was' Kristen's, depending on what the insurance people say. The boy driving the red truck (same grade as Kristen) said that he must have fallen asleep while driving past the school...he hit the neighbor's van, hit the back end of my hubby's truck and then came up over the top of Kristen's car. Here's another pic of the damage...

So...at this point, I guess we play the waiting game until the insurance paperwork is all pushed through. This bites the BIG one!!!

Ouch! Poor Kirsten's car! Is there a lot of damage to your hubby's truck? I hope not. How did the kid manage to fall asleep behind the wheel at 3:00 pm in the afternoon? Thank goodness the school kids weren't walking there. I do that all the time, imagining the worse case scenarios. I hope things work out well with the insurance company.
Oops! Sorry about misspelling Kristen's name. I must have fallen asleep behind the keyboard! :-P
Oh Linnie!! How scary!! I am glad no kids were out and I am sorry about Kristen's car, hopefully insurance will pay.
